Shanghai Airport’s operational costs increase by 60%

Shanghai International Airport Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Shanghai Airport Authority, managed to increase its revenues by 4.9% in the three months ended 30-Sep-08. But operating cost increases of 80.3% in 3Q08 ensured a dramatic reduction in both operating (-60.8%) and net (-65.3%) profit in the period. Net profit for the nine months ended Sep-08 was down by 48.2% year-on-year.
