Royal Jordanian signs agreement with SITA; Jazeera Airways shares up 1.7%

Royal Jordanian shares dropped by 0.6% on Tuesday (30-Nov-2010). On the same day the carrier signed a five-year agreement to migrate to the SITA Airfare Insight platform. Royal Jordanian is the third major Middle Eastern airline to introduce SITA's pricing software.

Wataniya Airways, subsidiary of Kuwait National Airways (0%), confirmed it will no longer operate services from Kuwait to Amman, Bahrain, Damascus and Jeddah from 05-Dec-2010. In addition, the carrier will reduce the frequency of services to Dubai.

Middle East and African shares were mostly stable on Tuesday with Comair, Air Mauritius and Lonrho steady while Kenya Airways (+0.6%), 1time (+1.2%) and Jazeera Airways (+1.7%) gained slightly.
