Worldwide traffic slips further into decline

IATA’s latest traffic statistics for Sep-08 have revealed an “alarmingly fast-paced and widespread” decline in traffic, which even the drop in oil prices and deep discounting by carriers worldwide may not be able to stem. The industry body is now forecasting that “losses may be even deeper than our forecast USD5.2 billion for this year”.
