Vueling net profit up 66% following clickair merger

Vueling Airlines posted a net profit of EUR46 million in 2010, a 66% year-on-year increase following the carrier’s merger with Clickair in Jul-2009. The improved full-year result comes despite a EUR5.2 million impact from disruptions, such as the volcanic ash crisis, adverse weather in central Europe and air traffic controller strikes, which impacted the carrier’s business in 2010. On a pro forma basis, net profit increased 89%.
