Vancouver Airport officially opens International Terminal expansion

Vancouver Airport Authority celebrated the official opening

on 28-Jun-07 of the completed International Terminal expansion. The USD188.1

million, 36,000 square-metre expansion is the cornerstone of the Airport Authority's

USD940.6 million construction programme, and was designed to better accommodate

the airport's growing passenger traffic and the larger aircraft of the future.

The four new gates of the International Terminal expansion opened for operation

in Mar-07, while work continued on the water features and retail areas.
