Pulling search and booking data from the company's base of more than 100 million monthly users, the report provides insights into traveller interests and behaviours during 1Q2023. With recode numbers of travellers searching Skyscanner's websites to plan and book their next trip, the Horizons report helps to build a picture of the main trends for travel across 2Q2023 and 3Q2023.
The report reveals that the key story for international travel in 2023 is set to be the broad recovery in the Asia Pacific.
After a 2022 that was characterised by closed borders and an abundance of caution from authorities and travellers, travel within the Asia Pacific and to/from the region is roaring back into life. Meanwhile, interest in domestic travel remains strong, with consumers keeping travel as one of their top spending priorities.
