Shanghai airports traffic soaring, Auckland Airport traffic up in May-2010

Shanghai’s Pudong and Hongqiao airports generated very strong increases in passenger numbers in May-2010, with the CAAC East China Regional Administration reporting) the following traffic highlights for its member airports:

Auckland traffic higher

Meanwhile, Auckland Airport reported a 1.8% increase in international passenger traffic last month to 545,048 (including transits), after a flat result in Apr-2010. The airport noted that Business/Conference traffic grew strongly last month, expanding by 17.4% last month to 43,780. Domestic traffic rose 7.1% to 464,315, attributed to “Jetstar driving higher passenger numbers than Qantas last year".
