PIA seeks massive government bailout as losses exceed USD2.6 million per day

Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) Managing Director, Capt Haroon Ijaz, has told the Senate Standing Committee on Defence that the airline has prepared a PKR55 billion (USD683 million) emergency bailout plan that would be presented for consideration before the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet later this month.
