Perth Airport selects ARINC’s reliable BagLinkTM Solution
SINGAPORE (ARINC) - Incorporated today announced its BagLinkTM technology has been chosen as a key component of the new automated baggage handling system for Terminal 1, the International Terminal of Perth Airport, in Western Australia. ARINC’s customer is Westralia Airports Corporation, the owner of Perth Airport.
“The middleware is a critical component in our new baggage handling system,” said Alan Davey, Westralia Airports Corp. Building Project Manager. “We selected ARINC’s on-site BagLink solution because of its proven track record of high availability.”
Unlike other solutions, ARINC BagLink uses on-site servers to process critical data for baggage reconciliation locally at each airport. Recently this approach has proven more reliable than remote servers, in which a single-point failure can affect multiple airports.
