Oman investing heavily in airport infrastructure

The Oman Government has launched an aggressive plan to develop its domestic transport infrastructure, in order to meet increasing travel demand, better link the country’s interior, as well as encouraging further growth in tourist and business traffic. As part of this overall strategy, the government has recently allocated approximately USD44 million for consultancy studies, design and supervision for greenfield airport projects across the country including sites in Al Duqm, Adam, Haima and Shaleem.
