No signs of recovery for domestic traffic at Hyderabad

Airports Authority of India (AAI) reports total passenger numbers at Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport declined 18.7% year-on-year to 464,060 passengers in Mar-2009, showing no signs of improvement. Domestic passengers led the decline, dropping 24.9% year-on-year to approximately 342,000 passengers. International passenger growth began its upward climb, increasing 5.7% year-on-year in Mar-2009 to approximately 122,000 passengers.
