New distribution agreements from Travelport, Amadeus and Expedia

Online distribution and ticketing companies Amadeus, Expedia and Travelport have announced a number of new distribution agreements this week. Shares in Amadeus and Expedia eased 0.1% in trading on Tuesday.

Singapore Airlines signed a worldwide content and third-party channel parity agreement with Amadeus to provide its subscribers with access to the carrier's flight schedules, fares and other service information for up to five years. Amadeus also announced that Kurban Travel, Lebanon's largest travel agency, has migrated its business to the Amadeus network.

Saudi Arabian Airlines and Travelport renewed their long-standing partnership with the siging of a multi-year content agreement.

Expedia and Discover the World Marketing announced a sales and marketing partnership to market their Travel Agent Affiliate Programme (TAAP) in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

In ground-handling news, Hungary's Celebi Hava Servisi stated a 22.6% stake in the company will be taken over by an equal partnership between Celebi’s parent company and Abraaj Investment Management Limited.
