Mixed 2008 for Irish Aviation Authority, 2009 expected to be worse

2008 was a mixed year for the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA), the partly-government owned body which holds responsibility for the air traffic control services in Irish-controlled airspace and safety regulation of Irish civil aviation industry. Traffic performance declined “in all areas” in Dec-08, part of a sharply downward trend in traffic recorded by the Irish Air Navigation Services Provider (ANSP).
