Istanbul to have three commercial airports
Booming passenger demand, as well as capacity limitations at
existing airports, have compelled the Turkish Government to decide to develop
a third airport in Istanbul. The Turkish State Minister confirmed plans this
week to commence the project shortly, which would be constructed on the western
side of the city, and opening by 2010.
