Final bidders for Delhi and Mumbai airports announced
SYDNEY (Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation) - Ministry of Civil Aviation announced it has received six bids for the modernisation and restructuring of Mumbai Airport and five for New Delhi Airport, Final bidders include:

Delhi Airport: GMR Infrastructure Ltd, GMR Energy, Fraport AG, India Development Fund, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd;

DS Construction Ltd, Flughafen Munchen GmbH, Hirachandani Properties Pvt Ltd, Ebony Retail Holdings Ltd;
Mumbai Airport (same bidders as above plus separate bid from):
The Mumbai Airport Partners Consortium, comprising Hochtief Airport GmbH-Piramal Holdings Ltd-L&T Holding, as well as the Bharti Enterprises-Singapore Changi Airport-DLF Universal consortium, did not submit bids. The Central Government confirmed it would shortly decide on a date to open the technical bids and commence a further evaluation process. The Government is expected to award the contracts for the two airports by the end of 2005.
