FAA Administrator nominated by Obama Administration

After 18 months of temporary and acting Administrators, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will finally have a permanent head: J Randolph "Randy" Babbitt. The Obama Administration formally announced on 30-Mar-09 that it intends to nominate him as the new Administrator for the FAA.
