Delhi International Airport: false signs of traffic recovery as passenger numbers fall sharply again

Latest monthly Airports Authority of India (AAI) data confirms the short-lived improvement in domestic passenger numbers at Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport in Feb-2009. In Mar-2009, domestic passenger numbers fell 11.1% year-on-year to nearly 1.3 million passengers. International growth remained flat, increasing just 0.9% year-on-year in Mar-2009 to approximately 720,000 passengers.
