Delhi International Airport - Domestic traffic leads overall fall in passengers again

Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport reported a 9.5% fall in passenger traffic in Apr-2009, to 1.9 million passengers. Following promising improvements in domestic passenger traffic at the airport leading up to Feb-2009, domestic figures deteriorated again in Mar-2009 and Apr-2009. Domestic passenger numbers fell 16.3% year-on-year in Apr-2009, to 1.2 million passengers. However, international traffic is trending upwards, rising 6.9% to 643,490 passengers.
