Dow Jones Industrials Index fell 678.9 points (or 7.3% down) to 8579.2 on 09-Dec-08, its biggest percentage drop since Black Monday in October 1987 and its third biggest points decline in history. The index is now at its lowest level since Aug-03. The index hit an all-time high on 09-Oct-07, just one year ago.
