Chinese airport stocks lose ground


Chinese airports were sold down heavily on Friday as investors brace for further measures by Beijing to rein in inflation.

Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Xiamen and Beijing airports fell by 5-9% as the  Shanghai Composite Index slid by more than 5%.

Airport supplier and retailer stocks were mixed on Friday, led lower by LVMH (-1.5%), while Stefanel SpA gained 2.7%. Late last month, Stefanel SpA agreed to sell its 50% stake in Noel International SA, the owner of airport retailer Nuance Group AG, to PAI Partners for EUR106 million, to focus on its core clothing business.
