Chinese airport shares ease as CAAC moves to limit airline competition - share wrap

Shares in the listed operators of China's 'Big Three' airports, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai, fell back yesterday, as investors reacted to CAAC plans to block competition on new airline routes for three years, to encourage existing carriers to expand their networks.

Their shares eased 4.6%, 3.4% and 3.3%, respectively, while Xiamen Airport also fell, by 4.0%. Hainan Meilan Airport bucked the trend, advancing 1.5%.

Elsewhere, Vienna Airport shares fell 4.6% and Zurich dipped 3.5%.
