ASUR Chairman seeks controlling stake

ASUR, the first privatised airport group in Mexico and operator

of nine airports in the country, is currently being subject to a share acquisition

proposal by its Chairman and interim CEO, Fernando Chico Pardo. Mr Pardo is

seeking to obtain a 42.6% interest, which would give him a controlling stake

in ASUR. He currently holds a 51% shareholding in ITA, which owns 15% of ASUR’s

total shares. (Copenhagen Airports holds the remaining 49% in ITA).
