AirAsia SWOT Analysis: AirAsia profitable again in 3Q2009 for three profitable quarters in 2009

The Asia Pacific region’s largest LCC reported another successful quarter in the three months ended Sep-2009 (3Q3009), traditionally the carrier’s weakest quarter, with a net profit of USD38.4 million, a “complete swing” for a loss of USD139 million in the previous corresponding period, with each of its short haul airlines reporting profits, on the back of strong passenger number and revenue growth.
