AirArabia gains first-mover advantage

AirArabia – the LCC established in 2003 by the Sharjah

Government – opens its IPO today, aiming to raise up to USD700 million

through the sale of 55% of the carrier’s equity. The funds will support

the airline’s fleet plan, which envisages 25 A320s by 2012.
