Africa-Indian Ocean Region joining the rest of the world with reduced vertical separation
The ICAO Africa-Indian Ocean Region (AFI) took a step forward in the development of its airspace on 25-Sep-08, joining the rest of the world by implementing Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) procedures. ICAO, African Civil Aviation Authorities and Air Navigation Service Providers, the AFI Region Monitoring Agency and the AFI Planning and Implementation Regional Group (APIRG) have all worked together to bring about the change.
