A "remarkable decade": Asia Pacific LCCs now account for one in six seats

Asia Pacific low cost carriers (LCCs) accounted for 15.7% of total seats in the region last year, or just under one in every six seats provided by the airline industry. The figure is up from 14.1% in 2008 and just 1.1% in 2001, completing a remarkable decade for the LCC sector in the Asia Pacific region.
