Paris CDG fights to retain European hub status

As part of Aeroports de Paris’ (AdP) efforts to defend

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport’s (CDG) role as one of the leading European

hubs, the company confirmed plans this week to invest EUR2.7 billion to increase

capacity at the airport by 20 million passengers p/a by 2010 for a total of

67 million. AdP recently sold its stake in Beijing Capital International Airport

to focus on developing its Paris airport system.
