OMA net profit falls 40% in first quarter

Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte reported a 41% drop in first quarter net profit, as passenger numbers eased by 3.7%, falling 1.4% domestically and 12.1% internationally. Shares in OMA were down 1.9% on Monday.
OMA financial highlights for the three months ended 31-Mar-2011:
- Total revenue: USD54.6 million, +2.4% year-on-year;
- Aeronautical: USD34.0 million, -1.2%;
- Domestic passenger charges: USD19.4 million, +7.1%;
- International passenger charges: USD7.3 million, -15.3%;
- Non aeronautical: USD11.8 million, +22.5%;
- Construction revenue: USD8.8 million, -4.9%;
- Aeronautical: USD34.0 million, -1.2%;
- EBITDA: USD20.0 million, -11.1%;
- Net profit: USD10.0 million, -41.0%;
- Passenger numbers: 2.7 million, -3.7%;
- Aircraft movements: 80,799, -3.8%;
- Aeronautical revenue per passenger: USD12.64, +2.6%;

There was limited trading in airport shares on Monday, as markets in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok were closed for the Labour Day holiday.
