Kuala Lumpur (MALAYSIA AIRPORTS HOLDINGS BERHAD) - Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (Malaysia Airports) has just extended its contract for another ten (10) years for Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts (PPHR) to manage KL Airport Hotel - Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur International Airport (PPKLIA).
The official signing ceremony was held at the hotel today. Representing Malaysia Airports was Tan Sri Datuk Dr Aris bin Osman, Chairman and Encik Umar Bustamam, General Manager of Commercial Services. PPHR was represented by Mr Arthur Ikeda, President and Mr Hisaaki Takei, Senior Vice President. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr Hans Winsnes, General Manager of PPKLIA, the Board of Directors for KL Airport Hotel, representatives of Malaysia Airports and PPKLIA.
PPHR was part of the planning group and has been managing the Hotel for Malaysia Airports since it first started its operation in June 1998. This is the first renewal of the management agreement with Malaysia Airports marking the continuation of our relationship. With our brand message of "Personalized Care, Because We Genuinely Care", we render the best services we can offer to make our guests stay as comfortable as possible. The Hotel has been refurbished and upgraded in stages; over the past years to offer the best possible state of the art facilities to our valued customers.
In Arthur Ikeda's speech during the event, he said "We are not only proud to be Malaysia Airports partner who is holding the prestigious award for 'Best Airport in the world for the 15-25 million passengers per annum category in the AETRA Survey 2005' for KLIA, but also very pleased to have been able to support this through winning the Best Airport Hotel Award in Asia by Business Asia Magazine for five (5) times".
He also mentioned that "The efforts in the partnership with Malaysia Airports have clearly paid off and we are looking forward to explore new heights of success and recognition in the future, together!".
Tan Sri Datuk Dr Aris bin Othman commented "With the hotel winning the Best Airport Hotel in Asia title five (5) times, this is clearly a result of hard work and dedication of the Pan Pacific associates".
He also said that "Hans Winsnes, General Manager and his team has delivered an excellent and outstanding performance in managing the hotel over the past 8 years. They have shown their true commitment and loyalty to Malaysia Airports. Therefore, we shall endeavor to continue this trend for continued growth and success of the hotel".
