Macquarie Airports short-listed for Budapest Airport bid

SYDNEY (XFNews) - Macquarie Aiports (MAp) said it has been short-listed to bid for a majority interest in Budapest Ferihegy International Airport in Hungary.

The Macquarie Bank managed airport investor said it has been informed by the Hungarian Privatization and State Holding Company it is one of five parties on the short-list.

MAp said it will now begin due diligence with a view to submitting a final bid in November.

The other bidders are BAA, the operator of the Heathrow, Standsted and London Airports in the UK, a Hochtief Airport GmBH, HTAC consortium, Copenhagen Airport, and a Fraport and Deutsche Bank consortium which operates Frankfurt Airport.
