Macquarie Airports’ investors approve split from parent bank, Fraport, Ferrovial and AdP down

Macquarie Airports ' shares gained 0.4% yesterday, with 78% of investors voting in favour of the plan by the investment fund to internalise its management and cut its ties from Macquarie Group.

Malaysia Airports' shares stabilised in trading yesterday, following announcement by home-based carrier, Malaysia Airlines, that it is starting to see a pick-up in passenger traffic.

Elsewhere in the Asia Pacific, airport shares were mixed. Japan Airport Terminal Co and Hainan Meilan International Airport reported the largest declines, sliding 4.3% and 2.3%, respectively. Positive performers in the region include Shenzhen Airport (+1.7%) and Xiamen Airport (+1.6%).

Meanwhile, Ferrovial and Aeroports de Paris slid 1.7% and 1.9%, respectively, while Fraport fell a further 2.0%.
