Kuwait Airways privatisation and fleet renewal bogged down again

Premium Analysis

In working towards the privatization of Kuwait Airways, the Kuwait Audit Bureau has evaluated two pilot studies, conducted by the Rose Child Company and Gulf Investment Group, to determine the carrier's net worth. Their final report was referred to the head of the Kuwait Investment Authority and Mustafa Al-Shamali, the Minister of Finance, who in turn referred the project to the Cabinet's financial committee, before final review by Cabinet itself.
