Kenya optimistic tourist arrivals would pass 1 million; Middle East shares stable
Kenya Airways (-0.6%) announced it had established a new 24-hour call centre to improve customer service and sales performance. It came as the Kenya Tourist Board (KTB) stated it is optimistic arrivals would pass 1 million by the end of 2010. Tourist arrivals in 1H2010 increased 20.5% year-on-year to 482,950.
South African LCC 1time (+3.2%) stated it is looking at additional opportunities to expand in Zambia. The carrier operates Johannesburg-Livingstone service and is assessing other destinations.

Middle Eastern shares were mostly stable with Jazeera, Royal Jordanian and Kuwait National Airways shares unchanged, while Air Arabia (+1%) rose slightly.
