Jazeera Airways to increase services; Kuwait National Airways shares down 6.5%

Jazeera Airways stated (05-Dec-2010) it is operating 20 weekly services to Dubai and 13 weekly services to Bahrain effective 01-Dec-2010.

The carrier also operates with daily frequency to Amman and Damascus and 11 times weekly to Alexandria. The carrier has 12 weekly services to three destinations in Egypt: four times weekly to Assiut, five times weekly to Luxor and three times weekly to Sohaj. The carrier also operates with three times weekly frequency to Sharm El Sheikh.

The KSE Market added 0.69% on 05-Dec-2010, closing at 6,865.4 points. Shares of Kuwait National Airways, also known as Wataniya Airways, lost 6.5% to finish at KD0.072. Wataniya said end of Nov-2010 that it will discontinue services to Amman, Damascus, Manama and Jeddah from 05-Dec-2010 with the carrier blaming market conditions.
