Hainan Meilan Airport shares jump

Analysis

Shares in Hong Kong had a strong day, rising 3.6%. Hong Kong-listed airport operators, Beijing and Hainan Meilan, outperformed the Hang Seng Index, rising 4.2% and 9.1%, respectively.

Hainan Meilan International Airport Co Ltd announced the appointment of a new General Manager yesterday. Mr Liang Jun (47) is replacing Mr Dong Zhanbin, who resigned due to "changes of job duties".
