Group Aeroplan shares dip

Loyalty programme company Groupe Aeroplan completed the second tranche of its minority investment in Premier Loyalty and Marketing, owner and operator of Mexico's leading coalition loyalty programme, Club Premier.

This additional investment of USD11.8 million follows the signing of the co-branded credit card agreement between PLM, Aeromexico and Grupo Financiero Banamex, the leading financial group in Mexico. Shares in the company dipped 2.8% on Monday. Last week the company reported a USD11 million fourth-quarter loss, related to an unfavourable tax ruling in Europe.

Elsewhere, shares in Menzies dipped 2.9%, while travel distribution companies generally traded lower. Flight Centre dipped 1.5%.
