Europe’s big hubs grapple with expansion in evolving airline sector


Fraport has ramped up its push to develop much-need capacity at Frankfurt Airport, stating this week that passenger numbers could increase 60% to 88 million by 2020, with the addition of a new fourth runway. Fraport plans to invest more than EUR4 billion in expanding Frankfurt Airport, which involves construction of the new runway, terminal and other infrastructure.
