Denver Airport to construct a hotel and improve parking facilities
Analysis
SYNDEY (Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation) - Denver International Airport (DEN) confirmed plans to construct a 528-room USD125 million hotel, with construction due to commence in the early Northern Spring.
The move follows United Airlines' financial improvement. The project was postponed in early 2003 due financial and economic circumstances. DEN is likely to finance the construction through the sale of bonds.
Meanwhile, DEN announced it is re-evaluating plans to construct a fourth covered parking area on the west side of the main terminal, with 1,667-spaces, at a cost of USD40 million.
