Delta announces another 10% reduction in international capacity

Delta Air Lines announced (10-Mar-09) plans to make further international capacity cuts of approximately 10%, commencing in Sep-2009. The reductions will target areas of "revenue weakness" with a reduction in trans-Atlantic capacity of 11-13% and trans-Pacific capacity of 12-14%. Latin American capacity will be increased slightly in 4Q09. These reductions are in addition to carrier's Dec-2008 announcement to reduce systemwide 2009 capacity by 6 - 8%.
