Deccan Aviation has made a statement that it remains a key player in the Indian aviation sector with its plans to participate in the construction and operation of low cost airports.

The pioneer in the Indian low cost sector announced it has formed a consortium in partnership with Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL), local development firm, Nitin Raheja, and local financier, IDFC, to develop basic airport facilities in the nation's secondary and tertiary cities.
