Chinese airlines see 6% rise in Spring Festival traffic

China's CAAC reports a 6% increase in Spring Festival passenger numbers to 5.07 million. China's airlines reported an average load factor of 72% during the period, up 2 ppts year-on-year.

Chinese airline stocks were mixed yesterday, with Air China easing 0.3% and China Southern gaining 1.3%. In Taiwan, EVA Air and China Airlines fell heavily, by 5.5% and 4.9%, respectively.
