China's Baiyun Intl Airport H1 net profit up 44.55 pct on higher traffic
Beijing (XFN-ASIA) - Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport
Co Ltd (SHA 600004), one of the country's three largest airports, said first
half net profit rose 44.55 pct year-on-year to 186.88 mln yuan on the back of
increased air traffic, passenger and cargo volumes.
In its first half financial report filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the airport said it handled 127,800 aircraft takeoffs and landings in the first half, up 14 pct from a year earlier.
Passenger throughput rose 17.6 pct year-on-year to 14.8 mln in the first half, while freight traffic was up 6.4 pct at 327,000 tons.
Operating revenue in the first half rose 7.31 pct year-on-year to 1.27 bln yuan, while management and financial expenses fell 18.96 pct and 26.78 pct respectively to 130.84 mln yuan and 57.68 mln yuan.
Earnings per share stood at 0.187 yuan, up from 0.129 yuan a year earlier.
The airport provided no earnings outlook for the rest of the year.
The firm had assets of 7.58 bln yuan at the end of June, up 0.84 pct from the end of 2006.
