BEIJING (XFNews) - China Eastern Airlines Corp Ltd (SHA 600115; HK 0670; NYSE CEA), one of mainland's three big carriers, said it carried a total of 11.55 mln passengers in the seven months to July, up 15.24 pct from the same period last year.
In a statement, the Shanghai-based carrier said passenger traffic for July alone stood at 2.8 mln, up 61.33 pct from a year earlier and 80.26 pct over June.
China Eastern Air said it consolidated operations of newly acquired Northwest and Yunnan operations from July.
Passenger load factor for the seven months to July rose 2.1 percentage points to 66.85 pct and edged up 0.24 percentage point from a year earlier to 74.06 pct for July alone.
Cargo throughput rose 5.39 pct to 384,960 tons for the first seven months of the year and was up 20.94 pct year-on-year at 66,000 tons for July alone.
