China continues to invest in aviation infrastructure

IATA Director General Giovanni Bisignani, at the IATA AGM this month, noted the rapid growth in China's aviation market and praised China for continuously improving its aviation infrastructure. However he noted that existing airports in primary cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, remain inadequate to meet the growing demand. China needs to draw on foreign experience to improve its air transportation capacity and efficiency, he said.
