CAAC opens 35 new flight corridors

Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) moved in mid-Mar-2009 to open 35 new flight corridors across the country, as part of wider efforts to ease the burden suffered by China's airlines due to the international financial crisis. Chinese carriers have suffered sharp reductions in passenger growth and several major carriers, including China Southern, China Eastern and Air China, have either received or a seeking major government bailouts.
