Boeing down, Airbus up, Aercap fortunes reversed – Share Wrap

Analysis

News that Boeing has completed another step in the lead up to the test flight of its B787 didn't help the manufacturer's share price on 15-May-2009, recording a 1% fall in trading. The B787 is due to fly before the end of Jun-2009.

EADS, parent of Boeing's chief rival, Airbus, climbed 2.7%. EADS received a boost late last week in the form of more orders for its Eurofighter from the UK and four C-295 military transport aircraft from Airbus Military, ordered by the Czech Republic.

Elsewhere, Aercap's share price continues to be volatile. It dived 6.3% on 15-May-2009 after a 6.5% rise on 14-May-2009.
