Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) CEO, Albert Brunner, stated the company could be bankrupted within the first few years of operations if Bengaluru International Airport is not permitted to collect User Development Fees (UDF) from domestic passengers. Ramping up the rhetoric BIAL stated the charges are necessary to recover some of the costs associated with the the USD568.9 million invested in the past five years to develop the greenfield airport.
