Bahrain Air: IPO planned for 2010

Premium Analysis

Bahrain has become one of the first carriers to announced plans to raise fresh capital from equity markets in the form of an IPO since the downturn, in another sign of increasing confidence in investment circles. The carrier announced at the end of Mar-2009 that it plans to conduct an IPO once its breaks even, which it considers likely by 2010. The carrier has capital of approximately USD53 million, but requires more financing to fund its development and fleet expansion programme.
