Australian Government launches national aviation review

Premium Analysis

Australian Government launched a (10-Apr-08) an issues paper, calling for aviation industry submissions as it reviews the state of the Australian aviation industry, as part of its moves to establish a formal national aviation policy. The review will form the basis for a green paper to be completed by Sep-08, ahead of a white paper to be released next year. Under the request for submissions, the government has recognised a series of key challenges for Australian air traffic management, chief among them that Australia currently lacks a clear national plan for the development of its future ATM system.
