Asia Pacific traffic hit hard by recessions
Asia Pacific carriers, which represent 31% of global international passenger traffic, have been hit hardest by the global economic slowdown, according to IATA, with passenger traffic (RPKs) declining by 6.1% in Oct-08. This is a slight improvement from the 6.8% decline reported in Sep-08. [333 words]
